We had a few plans for what we were going to do over the 4th, Ry ended up being out of town for work 2 days earlier in the week, so that kind of change our original plans of going to ride to the Mackinaw Bridge and camp along the way.
However it worked out for the better because we ended up loading up the bike and riding to our good friends house on Gun Lake (a whole 20 minute ride, if you take the long way) and camped in their yard. Thanks guys!!
We have been fortunate to be able to go out on Gun Lake with them in their boat for the last few years and we did again this year! It's absolutely breathtaking to be on the water watching the fireworks over us!
We woke up to a YUMMY breakfast (thanks chefs Wes & Lou!) then it was off to explore in the water for some and to snuggle with twins for others...can you figure out which I chose? :)
Then we rode to Silver Lake and stayed with some other friends that had been camping all week there. Thanks to you as well for allowing us to stay with you guys and for sharing your food! :))

Enjoy the pics from 4th of July!
These are deer swimming across the lake! AMAZING! Our friends live on a peninsula and they have seen this before, however I was completely awestruck and was completely amazed at seeing an animal like this swim. I know most do but you just normally don't think of them swimming like this. They did make it to shore safely though, so that's good news!
